Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE) course introduced by DCET

Introduction to BE(ETE)

Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE) is one of the core branch of engineering. It is a modern Engineering discipline that deals with designing, fabricating, producing, testing and supervising the manufacturing process of complex electronic products and systems. It is a diverse field that encompasses designing and developing traditional analogue technology and high-tech digital components.

ETE engineers create many of the devices that we use every day, such as mobile phones, television, radio, personal computers and WIFI networks. Domains such as IoT, Cyber Security, AI/ML etc are subsets of this course of engineering. Electronics engineering is a rapidly growing sector where there is excellent job opportunity for the skilled professionals.

ETE helps design products in various industries, such as Telecommunications, radio and television, healthcare, utilities, science and personal technology manufacturing. ETE engineers deal with analogue transmission, digital transmission, video reception, audio and data, basic electronics, microprocessors, digital and analogue communication, integrated circuits, wave progression and satellite Communication. The Electronics and Telecommunication Field is rapidly growing and offers many excellent opportunities for skilled professionals.

There will be an increased demand for ETE engineers in future. The recruitment figures will reach to a massive number and a reason enough for aspiring engineers to pursue a career in ETE.

Scope of ETE in India and Abroad

Technology growth is shooting at a very high pace. The demand keeps on increasing day-by-day. Due to this demand, there is a scope of the need for more electronic engineers to fulfill this demand. The engineers would be required to develop new technology and techniques to stay ahead in this competitive world.

The Engineers can find a job in many sectors, some of these sectors are consumer electronics manufacturing Organisation, Telecommunication industry, and IT industry, healthcare equipment manufacturing Industry, Mobile Communications, Internet Technologies, and Power Electronics. Some of the other industries may also be steel, petroleum and chemical industry. The graduates in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering can also specialise in the field of sales, product representation, system management, design and manufacture of electronic devices and systems. They can even work in installing, maintaining the electronic devices.

Since new technologies are coming up each day, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering is increasing its demand for students. This course would give graduates who are very competent and skilled in the telecom industries.

Electronics and Telecommunication engineers can specialize in technical product representation, systems management, the design & manufacture of electronic devices and systems, or the installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems and equipment. They may also work with computers and electronic equipment in the medical, manufacturing sectors.
