The Central Bureau of Investigation- CBI has arrested a Postmaster in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh for demanding and accepting bribes of 12 thousand Five hundred rupees for releasing the matured National Savings Certificate-NSC of 50 thousand rupees.
CBI said, a case was registered in this regard. The agency said that the complainant had alleged that Postmaster was demanding bribes for releasing the matured National Savings Certificate – NSC purchased by his mother from the Post office. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting bribes.
