Portion of Under Construction Bridge over Ganga River collapses in Bihar

In Bihar, a portion of the Under Construction Bridge over Ganga River collapsed today. The Aguanhighat-Sultanganj Bridge  part of a project to provide connectivity between Khagaria and Bhagalpur districts. Earlier in November 2022 another part of the bridge had also collapsed during gusty winds.

The Officiating District Magistrate of Bhagalpur Kumar Anurag told Akashvani News that no casualty happened in the incident.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had laid the foundation of construction of the bridge in 2014. The project cost of the Ganga river bridge is 780 crore rupees.
