Andhra CM Orders Revival Of TDP-Era Projects Scrapped By Jagan Govt

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to resume all the stalled and scrapped projects initiated by the TDP government between 2014 and 2019 on Tuesday. Naidu accused the previous YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP government of intentionally halting these “prestigious” projects.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat, Naidu emphasised the importance of reviving the projects that the previous government had halted, urging officials to expedite their completion. He alleged that the YSRCP government had undermined wealth-generating projects, and it was crucial to restore them swiftly.

“Get all the projects scrapped and stalled by the last government (YSRCP) back on track,” said Naidu.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to advance several special purpose vehicles (SPVs) related to the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board, Andhra Pradesh Maritime Infrastructure Development Corporation, and the Andhra Pradesh Inland Waterways Authority.

Naidu called for the rapid completion of ports and fishing harbours, ensuring no room for controversy. He also announced plans to draft a new Andhra Pradesh Maritime Masterplan and maritime policy, as per the report.

Additionally, the CM directed officials to commence the construction of airports and airstrips in Dagadarthi (Nellore district), Kuppam (Chittoor), Nagarjunasagar (Palnadu), and Mulapeta (Srikakulam).

The Andhra Pradesh government previously announced plans to open 100 Anna canteens on August 15. According to Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana, these canteens will be established in 33 municipalities across the state and will offer meals for just Rs 5, as reported by IANS on Tuesday. The move was as part of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to revive the Anna canteens, which had been closed under the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

TDP-BJP-JanaSena alliance formed Andhra Pradesh government in June this year.
