Dahi Handi festival celebrates with traditional fervour in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, dahi handi festival is being celebrated with traditional fervour. Various Govinda groups are preparing human pyramids for dahihandi. Many ladies groups are also forming these human pyramids.

In Mumbai, prizes worth lakh rupees are announced by organisers for these human pyramids. Some groups have practiced for 8 and 9 layers in the pyramid.
