An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted the Kermadec Islands region, New Zealand at 10:17:00 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 29.7668 degrees south latitude and 176.6969 degrees west longitude.
